BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Milford began his professional career working in laboratories at the Institute of Critical Technologies and Applied Sciences (ICTAS) at Virginia Tech, with research in biochemical engineering and in composite and high performance materials at NASA Langley's research center. He received a publication in Tissue Engineering for his contributions in the Comparative Study of Genome Wide Transcriptional Profiles of Primary Hepatocytes in In vitro Cultures, Tissue Engineering Part C Methods (Kim Y, Lasher CD, Milford LM, Murali TM and Rajagopalan P. A.) (16(6), 1449-1460, 2010).

Mr. Milford then got a job with Honeywell International's Specialty Chemical Division in their Integrated Supply Chain Development Program consisting of three 18-month rotational assignments at different business segments, including specialty films, catalysts and absorbents, and specialty fibers. During this time, Mr. Milford gained experience in process startup, including $5MM plastics recycling machine; $20MM Methanol-to-Olefin (MTO) production unit; developing a plant debottlenecking plan with alternative unit operation scopes ranging $20-50MM; new product development; and process optimization. Also during this time, Mr. Milford developed a knack for driving performance-setting record production at every asset.

Upon successful completion of the ISCDP program, Mr. Milford pursued an assignment as the plant manager for Airgas Chester, VA, air separation unit (ASU) and 8-mile underground pipeline and Durham, NC, on-site ASU. This was Logan's first step into multi-site leadership; P&L and budget management; organizational leadership; safety & quality leadership; customer relations; maintenance leadership and strategy; and many of the government requirements it takes to run a food and pharmaceutical facility. During this time, the plant’s performance drastically improved from a supply reliability with simultaneous cost reduction achieving record production & profitability through runtime and rate increase, as well as rigorous budgeting and procurement improvements. Also during this time, Airgas was purchased by Air Liquide group, becoming the largest air separation company in the world, and Mr. Milford was selected and awarded for his contributions developing the shared values of the organizations.

Mr. Milford moved on to become the vice president of operations at a rapidly growing startup company and market-leading fishing accessory company, YakAttack. At Yakattack, Mr. Milford reported directly to the founder (CEO) and private equity company responsible for all operations & shipping aspects of the company. Mr. Milford drastically expanded the lean manufacturing excellence programs, enabling reductions in direct labor and improvement in on-time delivery through the continuation of one-piece flow assembly operations; leader standard work and daily management processes; enterprise-level strategic deployment; and sales and inventory operations planning processes.

Mr. Milford currently works for DuPont at their Spruance plant, which is their largest manufacturing plant, with approximately 2,000 full-time employees with experience in their Kevlar® and Tyvek® businesses. He currently runs a $120MM portfolio of process, technology, and people-improvement programs.
